The Whispers will perform songs from their gospel/inspirational CD, Thankful on BET's “Bobby Jones Gospel” program on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 9 a.m.


The group - known for R&B smashes such as “Rock Steady” and “And the Beat Goes On” - has been planning this project for years. “We’ve been wanting to do this for ten years. God has been really, really good to the Whispers,” says founding member Nick Caldwell. “He was looking out for us even when we were ignoring Him. He allowed us to live long enough to do this inspirational CD that we want to use to inspire people to get closer to God.”


The Brown Sisters and the Rance Allen Group will also perform on this episode of “Bobby Jones Gospel."
