In 1995 Pastor Herbert Bailey traveled from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Columbia, South Carolina to interview for a claims management positon at a national insurance company. Pastor Bailey had no intention of living in South Carolina or starting a ministry there. But, when God tells him to do something, he does it. Period.
"When I was praying about the job and asking for instruction in the salary negotiations, the Lord instructed me to found Right Direction Christian Center (RDCC) here," Pastor Bailey says. "I knew that I was to pastor and found RDCC but my plan was to do it in southern New Jersey, my home state."

“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy” (1 Peter 4:12-13, NKJV).
Not only has Bishop Larry Trotter preached this scripture on numerous occasions, but he has had to literally live it in the eyesight of his congregation. As the senior pastor of Sweet Holy Spirit Church in Chicago and a well respected gospel music artist, there was nothing to indicate that a storm was brewing in and around his life. Suddenly, it came.

Perhaps it is Bishop David G. Evans' willingness to share where he's been, where he's going and all the stops in between that has caused his church to grow by leaps and bounds.
However, I suspect it is God's blueprint for his church and his commonsense approach to teaching the gospel that has caused the membership to soar.
As pastor of Bethany Baptist church in Lindenwold, NJ, the Bishop has found himself as the leader of thousands of parishioners, excluding the additional 100,000 or so who are part of the Abundant Harvest Fellowship of Churches, an organization for which he's the presiding officer.
